Text "freeze" at anytime to stop getting messages

Being an office worker myself, sometimes I can spend hours in one place. Leveraging the handy ErgoBot on twitter, I built ErgoTxt… every hour it sends registered users a text message to tell them to do something.

These messages are generated by ErgoBot and sent straight to you, so you can get reminded to get up and do something.

Time to stand in the doorway again. Palms and arms against frame. Gently step forward to stretch. Do 5 times slowly. Close eyes. Walk a bit.

Raise your arms to the ceiling 10x. Fingers sore? Take a break. Massage them. Cheer up or encourage a friend with a call or email.

Moisturize! Look in distance for 30 seconds. I see those shoulders. Pull them down as if to floor, and hold. Always use the serial comma.

Tense? Put tip of tongue on roof of mouth. Inhale thru nose to count of eight. Hold for 4. Exhale for 6 thru mouth. Make circles w/ankles.

Raise arms straight in front of you, turn them, crisscross them so palms touch. Hold. Repeat. Wiggle toes. Look far away. Focus on breathing

  1. How often will I receive a text?

You will receive a text hourly from 9am to 5pm your local time. We do some calculations when you first sign up to get your timezone, so you don't have to worry about it.

  2. Where do the messages come from?

The messages come from the handy ErgoBot twitter feed. I find it easier to get an hourly text to remind me to do something, so that's why I built it.
