Hourly texts that are good for your body and mind

Text "freeze" at anytime to stop getting messages

Being an office worker myself, sometimes I can spend hours in one place. Leveraging the handy ErgoBot on twitter, I built ErgoTxt… every hour it sends registered users a text message to tell them to do something.

These messages are generated by ErgoBot and sent straight to you, so you can get reminded to get up and do something.

Hello! Un-hunch your shoulders, roll them back 10x. Breathe deeply. Have a tall glass of water. Stretch your fingers and flex calves 10x.

Do 10 slow kegels. Clasp hands behind head, stretch elbows back. Hold. Repeat. Stretch arms straight back behind you. Relax. Align spine.

Sit, forearms on thighs, make fists, wrists hanging off knees. Keep fist, raise knuckles up, hold; point knuckles toward floor, hold. Repeat

Time to stand in the doorway again. Palms and arms against frame. Gently step forward to stretch. Do 5 times slowly. Close eyes. Walk a bit.

Spend a minute making funny faces. Coworkers, too? Wave your arms around at same time. All the cool kids are doing this. Un-hunch shoulders!

  1. How often will I receive a text?

You will receive a text hourly from 9am to 5pm your local time. We do some calculations when you first sign up to get your timezone, so you don't have to worry about it.

  2. Where do the messages come from?

The messages come from the handy ErgoBot twitter feed. I find it easier to get an hourly text to remind me to do something, so that's why I built it.
